Jessica has always had a passion for music and dance since she was very young. She had always wanted to attend a dance class, however, she did not get the chance in her early years since her family moved around often due to being a Military family. In 2015, pole dancing caught her eye while she was living in Kansas when her roommate began attending aerial classes at a nearby studio. Curious to try a new form of exercise, Jessica signed up for classes immediately. She fell in love with the apparatus and continued her pole dancing journey even when she moved back home to the Chicago suburbs. Jessica has been teaching pole dancing since 2017. She competed and came in first place at the 2017 Central Pole Championships coordinated by Pole Sport Organization in the category for Dramatic Level 2. She has performed in many showcases and has choreographed many of her students’ routines for competitions; and they have also placed within their respective categories. Jessica has trained alongside many professional pole dancers such as AnnaKia Jackson, Nicole “The Pole” Williams, Dalijah Franklin, Roz “The Diva” Mays, and Alicia Archer. Jessica’s movement style is very emotionally driven and story-telling. Her artistry is in transitions and flow around the pole, as well as helping others discover their personal flow within their freestyling.
Polemic is so excited to welcome Jess to our team of fabulous instructors! She will begin teaching classes on Wednesday mornings in November – Beginner I at 9:00 am and Beginner II at 10:00 am. She is also available to host bachelorette/birthday parties and private lessons. Please inquire about scheduling if interested.
