NEW CLASS – High Intensity Interval Pole

We’re taking strength training to the pole! This class is for anyone interested in both increasing strength AND reducing body fat. Anyone can join, regardless of level or previous experience. This is not a pole dance class; however, it will compliment any pole dancers training regimen and serve as a fun way for everyone to achieve their fitness goals! It is high intensity and mainly focuses on body-weight exercises with use of the pole. If you have ankle weights feel free to bring them along.

Best of all, your first class is totally FREE!

We are so pleased to be hosting the amazing Anya Shevelyuk on Friday, July 21st, from 6-8pm. To see Anya in action, check out her 2015 performance reel -- AMAZING! She also writes informative and inspirational articles for Vertical Wise and Pyragraph. Anya has a degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis on Health and Fitness. She currently teaches aerial hoop, flexibility, trapeze and vinyasa yoga as well as doing aerial and contortion performances. The workshop is only $50, but space is limited so you must pre-register below.

Benefit Car Wash

We are sponsoring a benefit car wash to help fight against child abuse. All proceeds will be donated to the Relief Nursery. Please, please, bring your favorite ride down to Off Kilter Koffee (770 South A Street, Springfield) from 10am-4pm on Saturday, June 24th, and we will wash it for you! If you donate $10 or more, we will give you a coupon to one of these local businesses: Off Kilter Koffee, Polemic Dance & Fitness Studio, The Graphics Shop, or Angkor Cambodian Cafe.

Current Polemic students who volunteer to work the car wash will receive $15 credit towards class!

Come check out our new classes for 2017! We have Intro Pole & Choreography for those of you that might be tired of “trick”-focused classes and want to do a little more dance and transition work, also a great choice for newbies to pole. Our other new class is Vertical Barre, a fusion between the more familiar horizontal barre workout and pole. This one will stretch the limits of both your strength and flexibility!

Fit & Flirty – new class starting Sept. 13!

Do you love to dance and learn choreography? Do you want a strength and cardio workout that is energizing and unique? Are you intrigued by the idea of adding a pole to the mix? Then join us for some cheeky fun pole-ography in the Fit & Flirty class!

Over the course of a 6 week session you will learn a 2 minute pole dance routine. Each weekly 60 minute class will break down the choreography bit by bit until you’ve mastered it by our last class. Class size is limited to 5 students, so you will get the individual attention you need to learn and grow as a pole artist.

This class is open to polerinas of all ages and skill levels! Previous pole fitness experience is not required, as the routines will mainly incorporate introductory and beginner spins, pole skills, and floorwork, all of which will be taught in class. But, don’t let that fool you! This will be a fun and challenging workout for even our most Advanced students 🙂

And no need to feel skittish or shy. This class is more flirt and sass than grind and….well, you get the picture 😉 Appropriate attire includes sports bras, tank tops, and shorts. You’ll need some skin to stick to the pole 🙂 Come join us for some high energy strength and cardio choreo on Tuesdays from 9-10am!

The first 6 week session is $90 and will run every Tuesday from September 13-October 18. If this limited-size class fills up, a 2nd class may be opened on Thursdays from 9-10am. Please let us know if you are interested in attending 2 days/week to get double the workout and choreo practice so we can plan accordingly!
